Provisional Dates for 2009

Read more for the provisional details for the 2009 karting events...

Although these dates have yet to be confirmed, they form the first provisional calendar for the 2009 CSMA karting season - or rather, should I say, the 2009 Southern season?!

As and when these dates are confirmed, we will let you know via this site...

We will again be running the "just for fun" championship. There are going to be some tweaks to make it even more competitive in 2009 and we're even going to throw in another level of competition in a "North Vs South" challenge event! Again, more details as and when they are firmed up.

All events will again take place on a Monday.

Round 1
March 2nd, Rye House, Hoddesdon, Herts
We will also be holding the Karting Group AGM at this event.

Round 2
April 27th, Whilton Mill, Daventry, Beds
This is also the event that we will be holding the North Vs South challenge.

Round 3
June 1st, Laskeside, Thurrock

Round 4
July 27th, Venue TBA

Round 5
September 21st, Venue TBA

Round 6
Octover 12th, Rye House, Hoddesdon, Herts

In addition to the 6 rounds of the championship, we will also be running the Festival of Karting event again at Rye House. Date to be confirmed.

Finally, in addition to the new seasons racing, there are also plans afoot to run indoor events over the winter months with the aim of introducing beginners to the fantastic world of karting! Everyone is welcome to these events and details will be published as soon as they are finalised.

Currently, Monday 19th Jan 2009 is planned as the first event, to be held at the Woodley Raceway, near Reading, Berks.

It's all gearing up to be a very full season of fun and friendly action on track.
